Apartment Milan
Apartment
A Milanese classic
The stylistic features of Milanese translated into a new form of elegance, typically Italian.
In the historic heart of the city of Milan stands an ancient building that houses an apartment to which the Simonetto team has contributed in giving a truly unique imprint. The design conceived by the architect has in fact provided for an overall refurbishment in a classical key, to which our craftsmen have given shape.

The architect's project features the classic stylistic elements of the typical Milanese house.
Living and relax area
The back wall that houses the fireplace has been made of wood and prime-painted to receive the same lime treatment as the other walls of the room. The upper part incorporates open niches and concealed doors. The Rosewood framed niches lined with silk have crystal shelves illuminated with LED spotlights. To the side of the niches a door flush with the wall reveals a bar cabinet inside with crystal shelves, lined internally with stingray skins and clad with bevelled mirrors. In the middle of the room a freestanding table with a bronze structure and feet, its top lined with stingray skins and finished with shellac varnish applied manually with a pad.
Study
Bookcase and panelling – complete with integrated doors – are in Indian Rosewood treated with crystalline acrylic varnish. Doors and compartments of the bookcase, with internal LED lighting, lined with parchment and decorated with polished nickel trims. Custom nickel handles designed by the architect and engineered in our technical office prior to manufacture. The desk, built with Macassar Ebony and Indian Rosewood and with black Gabon Ebony mouldings. Embellished by the black leather top and equipped with retractable panels hiding electronic devices.
Cinema
The walls are clad with a composition of panels lined with fabric and lightly padded. Furniture in high gloss varnished India Rosewood, with custom polished nickel trims and handles. The thick entrance doors have an acoustic coating specially designed for adequate sound insulation.
Bedroom, bathroom and staircase
The walk-in closet is in natural Sycamore with backs lined with fabric and backlit with LED light. The chest of drawers lined with stingray skins and the custom made polished nickel handles. Bathroom furniture glossy white lacquered, with custom handles and polished nickel trims. Washbasins integrated into the top and mirror with its frame made to measure. The staircase in the bedroom also specially made: step and rise clad with Rosewood and a metal balustrade with a lacquered wooden handrail. The wardrobe in the corridor is full height, its doors lacquered in matt white with micro-texture paints and with Wenge wood carved-in handles. The freestanding parchment lined TV cabinet contains a retractable motorized mechanism. Its doors on custom pivot hinges with central bronze custom handle.
Activities
Much attention to the care of the detail: for instance the carving of the recessed Wenge wood handle within a door prepared to eventually receive the matt white lacquer. Or the cinema room, its panels lined with fabric and lightly padded. Everything built and pre-installed in our workshop.
