Piccadilly

Eccentric with taste.

Mastery and fanciness in a historic Piccadilly building.

London always has a special charm. In the great capital, a forge of elegance and cultural experimentation, architects often give their best in terms of creativity. That is the case of this apartment, located within an historic building in Piccadilly. Conceived with knowledge and ability by the architect Matteo Crippa, who was able to count – as always – on the operational support of the Simonetto team.

Year: 1998

Location: London

Design: Matteo Crippa

An image out of the ordinary and a meticulous execution.

Entrance

The entrance is immediately of strong impact. The walls, lined with handcrafted wallpaper, incorporate the jib door that we clad with our panelling. The bookcases and low panelling were prepared in our workshop and eventually finished and decorated on site. The bookcases, in particular, house a collection of precious objects, hidden by retractable doors composed and decorated by the backs of the volumes specially selected by the architect.

Living room

The entrance bookcases continue to develop into the living room and host a television set with a frame lined with suede and hidden by a painted canvas. Full-height panelling, prepared in our workshop and painted directly on site, continue to clad the living room walls.

Kitchen

Perfect combination of colours and materials for the kitchen. The look finds balance in the use of ivory glossy lacquered wood with black granite top and backsplash.
