Apartment

Top apartment.

A refined home among Miami’s skyscrapers.

Touching the sky with a finger and the immensity of the waters with a glance: this is the peculiarity of this bright apartment on the top floor of a skyscraper with a glass facade, directly overlooking the ocean. The refined elegance conceived by the architect’s project took shape thanks to the support of the Simonetto team.

Year: 2008

Location: Miami

Design: Studio Droulers Architecture

Meticulous research of materials and careful evaluation of the right degree of colour and glossiness, to achieve softness and elegance.

living

Bookcases and panelling integrate perfectly into the design conceived by the architect. The interior of the bookcase is embellished with fabric lining and special lighting, while the surfaces are treated with black shellac varnish, with custom-made circular bronze handles.

Entrance and study

The elegant and linear imprinting is given by the use of champagne-coloured Sycamore panels and Ebony inserts with its translucent acrylic finish. To give life to the design conceived by the architect, the Ebony profile is inserted in such a way as to be slightly protruding from the rest of the panelling.

Bedroom

The protagonists of the bedroom are the wardrobes manufactured completely bespoke by our team. Lacquered in black shellac with doors bevelled mirror clad and with custom bronze handles appropriately set in the overall drawing. The project also found completion through the arrangement of the walk-in closet again lacquered in black shellac with an open-grain finish and with linear lighting integrated in each shelf.

bathroom

Elegant example of craftsmanlike quality, the base and vanity cabinet. With polished nickel base, structure and doors in Walnut treated with black shellac leaving an open-grain finish. Custom handles, top in white Carrara Calacatta gold marble and clear mirrors with polished nickel frame.

activities

The Simonetto team worked in close cooperation with the architect in order to define in detail the type of mouldings and other stylistic details. This activity included the careful study over the bespoke hardware that is always first prototyped in wood in our workshop, in such a way to be able to verify both volumes and shape before producing the actual pieces. Our working method is based upon the end-to-end approach: from design to packaging, shipping and on-site fitting of all joinery and furniture.
