Villa by the sea

Poetry in white.

The magic of a villa suspended between Mediterranean charm and elegant modernity.

A project with a strongly organic style, which offers a contemporary interpretation of a context in which history and nature have always defined the charm and prestige of these places. The Simonetto team identified itself with this philosophy, giving its interpretation through the creation of the furnishings designed by the architect.

The thousand interpretations of white, through the refinement of the materials.

Entrance

The entrance hall gives an immediate welcome to the modern candour of this project. The glossy lacquered wooden panelling marked by a carved horizontal line reminding ashlar-work motif. The oak steps of the staircase take up the same tone as the parquet flooring. A feature that strongly distinguish this environment is the artwork on canvas, specially conceived by the artist Sanna, lined onto a bespoke wooden support created by us so to sit at-flush with the plaster wall cladding. The entrance door made of steel and shatterproof decorated glass repeats the horizontal ashlar-work motif, thus harmoniously fitting in the theme with the rest of the furnishings.

Living room

The wall panelling follows the curvilinear pattern of the ceilings and surrounds the pillars. The sliding doors are with glass engraved with a floral motif, the design of which specifically conceived by the architect for this project. The TV cabinet integrated into the bespoke piece of joinery, while all the freestanding units bespoke manufactured and eventually treated with silver leaf and with black or white glossy lacquer. The large gas fireplace, which also becomes a piece of furniture, clad in polished steel, echoing the panelling ashlar-like decoration.

Dining room

The service base cabinet integrated into the perimeter of the room, also entirely hiding the air conditioning system. The custom chairs upholstered in leather and covered in silver leaf. The table with oval glass top specially cut out of two thick slabs eventually coupled.

Bedrooms

The wall panelling reflects the pattern of the ceilings and fit into the curves of the niches, maintaining the decorative pattern with horizontal ashlar-like drawing. Inside the niches sit accessory cabinetry and furniture: noteworthy the detail of the etched glass oval, integrated into the base cabinet with concealed LED light and the custom-made freestanding bench.

Bathrooms

The vanity cabinets, inserted in the curvilinear spaces given by the architecture of the building, are made of wood and covered in silver leaf or again in Corian, with seamless integrated washbasins.

activities

All the pieces are manufactured, polished and pre-assembled for testing in our workshop, before sending them to their final destination and be fit on site. The hard task in this project was the right sizing of the panelling in compliance with the curved and trapezoidal ceilings of the building. The doors also sit seamless with the panels. In this way, both panelling and joinery became one with the structure of the building.
